Based on real events from World War 1, for those not up with Australian history in the first World War this is something to definitely see. Mel Gibson in one of his finest roles to date (in my opinion) and for those who do know the story of Gallipoli and Australia's involvement and contribution it is a must watch. In my opinion if this movie had been made in America it would have definitely received higher honours.
